![]() There will be some PvE but even the grind lovers will lack lots of "standard" options. :)Speaking of grind, they kinda removed that part by making progression horizontal, which means that beginners will be "only" 2-3 times weaker than maxed out vets (as opposed to 124714866 times weaker in, say, WoW which has vertical progression).Īnother little problem with grind is, there will be no leveling through killing monsters, no quests and no PvE instances. Camelot Unchained is a game partially funded by Kickstarter and as such, some people have already had access to the Alpha tests based on the funds pledged to the games development. Still - DAOC 2 might get me to spend a few $$ on it all the same. StarCitizen is likely my next foray into something MMO-like. End result, I tend to play single player anymore unless I'm playing an FPS. Personally I don't really have the time for a lot of grinding, I really kind of hate PUGs and when you get down to it, the scale demands of an MMO often require them to cut back on design/content that you'd get in a single player game. That said, I generally don't MMO anymore. ![]() Back when they started having mule accounts and whatnot, it made it a lot less fun to play. I think we ran the Alliance of Silly Names. To make it "worse", Necro is rather quick and skilled + timelapse makes it look quite smooth n easy.talking about overwhelming :)I'm interested, but getting a Star Wars Galaxies vibe.hope it turns out better than thatįalryx says:I played a bunch of DAOC (Midgard 4evah!) back in the day. I don't have in mind, like, Mage/builder or Warrior/builder (say, WoW examples), but crafter, as a class, further specialised in building. I admit, the building in this looks fun, though overwhelming, heh.Speaking of building, they will have game class for it - like, 100% dedicated crafter that is going to level/progress through building or selling blueprints - or through doing it for his guild or alliance, in exchange for protection/escorts and supply of materials. EVE Online became a job for me (I was a director in one of EVE's busiest corporations), and otherwise, I've always enjoyed MMOs for their social aspect. ![]() ![]() This look interesting, and I'll keep my eye on it, though I may be MMO'ed out, short of finding players to play with. Keleth says:I heard a lot about Dark Age of Camelot back in the day, but never played myself. ![]()
